It's ending all too quickly. Saturday was another day of ski school for the kids and conditions are deteriorating pretty fast. It's been warm the past week creating slushy conditions which then freezes at night creating a crazy ice rink until at least mid-day. Still, we all managed to have fun which was kind of amazing given the crappy conditions but I can see the writing on the wall. The ski season is not going to last much longer. It seems like its ending quicker than usual. March is usually a big powder month with ideal conditions. I still have hope for the big spring storms but I know the end is coming. It's been fun but it all went by so quickly this season for some reason.

With the warmer weather I was able to ride my bike everyday this past week. That was good but my fitness is lacking. My climbing felt slow and my legs heavy. I'm a little behind in training this year but that is by design. Last year at this time I had already raced in a couple of crits and trained much more but as I've stated earlier, I'm restructuring things to avoid fatigue at the end of the season. Easter weekend will be my first crit this year. We won't have ski school that week so I'll be able to give it a go. I won't expect too much from that race given it's my first this year but it'll give me an indicator of where I'm at.
